In one of the Detroit papers yesterday Punch was asked why nuggets like East Side Story, etc. were omitted from Vol. 1 and he suggested they'd probably find their way onto Vol. 2.

...I know it's very, very unlikely, but I'm hoping for a re-do of Still Water.
Can't Hit The Corners would be great to hear in it's entirety, though...

Funny Ronster those are the two songs I was hoping for! After reading all of Scott's reviews I've always wanted to hear Elevator Button too.

Bob Seger to release CD of vintage and unreleased songs
Susan Whitall / The Detroit News
Punch Andrews, longtime manager of Bob Seger, confirmed Monday that "Early Seger Vol. 1," a collection of vintage, pre-"Beautiful Loser" songs, three never-before released, will be released Nov. 24.

The CD will be available for a week at all Meijer's stores, then on Nov. 30, at bobseger.com (which currently has samples up).

Come January, the CD might find wider release, Andrews said.

There are 60-70 more unreleased, vintage Seger songs in the archive, and the rocker is having fun going through that for future releases.

As for all those Hideout singles like "East Side Story" that fans are clamoring to hear, Andrews laughed. "Maybe for Volume 2 we'll get to that."

'Early Seger Vol. 1'
1. "Midnight Rider" (from "Back in '72")

2. "If I Were a Carpenter" (from "Smokin' O.P.'s")

3. "Get Out of Denver" (from "Seven")

4. "Someday" (from "Smokin' O.P.'s")

5. "U.M.C. (Upper Middle Class)" (from "Seven")

6. "Long Song Comin'" (2009 re-recording)

7. "Star Tonight" (previously unreleased)

8. "Gets Ya Pumpin' " (previously unreleased)

9. "Wildfire" (previously unreleased)

10. "Days When the Rain Would Come" (previously unreleased)
