:blink: Holy Moly. . . . has anyone seen this article? Can it be true? I find it hard to believe, yet, it's in print.

UNTRUE - MJV reports that Punch called into WCSX to report that the article was WRONG.

Of course I emailed the Free Press reporter, her response is below.

Hope SOMEONE gets to see this!!!! I am having a really hard time believing this. :blink: Geeshhh, most of Detroit will be showing up for this if they know Seger is playing....regardless of their political choice of candidates!!!!

My first thought is that they reported it wrong, that maybe they got wind he might attend. I can't imagine this really happening.

Punch had phoned into JJ&Lynn on WCSX around 9:00 to advise that this is incorrect. Punch said that Bob is in Nashville today RECORDING.

Unfortunatley, JJ did not follow that up with "RECORDING WHAT ????".

Could it be the long awaited "Face the Promise" ?

On the other hand - a Nashville to Detroit flight doesn't take very long.

Well, nice catch Kevin! That would have been huge... but just WHO informed the press that Bob Seger would be performing?

This is not surprising. They probably asked Punch to see if Bob would perform. Then let it slip that Bob was all set to perform. Kerry will say/do whatever it takes to get attention/votes. So, while in MI, of course these people would want to claim Bob as a supporter. Especially since his politics are so unknown. I'm sure this tactic will work to sway some votes. Pathetic.

Seger didnt perform at any of the 911 benefits, etc, etc... but he is going to suddenly stump for Kerry? LOL yeah, right. :lol: :rolleyes:

Around noon, WJR reported that Bob and Jon Bon Jovi would be there, but Bob would NOT be perfoming; only lending his support.

Don't know WHO to believe, but I 'spose if anybody would know - it would be Punch.

Linda, I love that playlist. I wish I were creative enough to think that up so quickly.

If anyone does go, pls fill us in.

Well, on local news at 7:00 they mentioned Bon Jovi being there (dont know if he sang), but no mention of Bob. I'm sure they would have said something if he was there.

And excuse my previous post. I was listening to some CCR tunes recently and must have Fogerty on my mind. He was NOT on the agenda.
